Jessica McMann, musician/dancer/choreographer and Beverley McKiver, pianist met at the Urban Shaman Art Gallery in Winnipeg in 2017 where they were both performing at A Place Between: A 60’s Scoop Arts Project.

Jessica invited Beverley to participate in her residency at the Vancouver International Jazz Festival in June, 2018. They met again at the inaugural Indigenous Classical Musicians gathering at the Banff Centre for the Arts in 2019, where they began collaborating on repertoire for flute and piano. Returning to the Banff Centre for the Arts in November 2019, they recorded an album of works for flute, piano, violin and viola with violinist/violist Karen Shepherd. The upcoming album includes works by Jean-Baptiste (John) Loeillet, William Lloyd Webber, Dmitri Shostakovich, Jessica McMann, Sonny-Ray Day Rider and Beverley McKiver.
